Travel trends are easy to talk about — but real booking data tells a far more honest story.
Travel trends are easy to talk about — but real booking data tells a far more honest story.
By looking at the actual trips I’ve coordinated over the past year, clear patterns emerge around where people are going, how they’re traveling, and why planning early matters more than ever.
Here’s what 612 real trips reveal.
Mexico Continues to Lead
Out of 612 trips, 215 were to Mexico, making it the most requested destination in my business.
For destination weddings and group travel, Mexico consistently delivers:
• strong flight access
• experienced resort wedding teams
• reliable group logistics
• excellent guest value
Couples aren’t choosing Mexico because it’s “easy.”
They’re choosing it because it works.
The Dominican Republic Is a Strong Second
The Dominican Republic continues to be a popular alternative for couples seeking beautiful resorts with solid wedding infrastructure.
It offers a similar all-inclusive experience with excellent value for groups and wedding guests. However, the flight paths tends to be a bit difficult with long layovers and strange flight times.
Destination Weddings Drive the Majority of Planning
A significant portion of my bookings are tied directly to destination weddings and wedding-related travel.
These trips require:
• long-term planning
• guest coordination
• payment timelines
• accuracy across dozens of reservations
This is not passive travel — it’s managed travel.
Europe & Custom Travel Require a Different Approach
While Europe represents a smaller portion of overall volume, trips to destinations like Italy, Spain, and Greece require a higher level of customization.
There are no traditional room blocks, no all-inclusive safety nets, and no shortcuts. These itineraries are built intentionally — and well in advance.
What This Data Means for Travelers
The biggest takeaway from these numbers?
Travelers are investing in experiences they want done right — and they’re planning earlier to protect availability, pricing, and peace of mind.
Working with a travel advisor who actively manages volume allows clients to benefit from real-world experience, not guesswork.
Final Thoughts
Great travel doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s planned early, supported consistently, and guided by someone who understands the full picture — before, during, and after travel.
And the numbers back that up.
